- your email address and chosen display name if you create an account
- location of your garden(s) if you provide it to us to personalise sowing/planting/growing dates
- payment information if you make a payment to us
- questions, queries or feedback, including your email address if you contact us
- any other information that you choose to send to us
Why we need your information
We collect your information to:
- allow you to create an account
- provide you with the information, products and services you have requested
- monitor and detect issues with this website (using your IP address and system logs)
- respond to any questions, queries or feedback you send us
We use a third-party web application firewall provided by Cloudflare to improve security and performance. We may share this information with Cloudflare. You can read the Cloudflare Data Processing Agreement here.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information is a legitimate interest.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on UK servers provided by our hosting provider DigitalOcean. You can read the DigitalOcean Data Processing Agreement here.
How long we keep your personal information
We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this document or for as long as the law requires us to.
We will:
- keep information related to an account until you choose to delete it
- keep your email data until you unsubscribe
- delete server logs that contain your IP address after 120 days
Once your personal information is deleted, it will remain in our backup system for another 30 days before being deleted.
Data stored in the backup system is kept for backup purposes only and is not used or accessed for any other reason.

Our cookies notice provides information on the cookies we use and what we use them for.
Children's information
Our services are not designed for or intentionally targeted at children 13 years of age or younger. We do not intentionally collect the personal information of anyone under the age of 13.
